Review Of The Redmi Smart Band Pro: Wider, Better, And More Value For Money

In India, the Xiaomi Band number series is a big hit. This year, the Redmi Smart Band Pro was released by the company. Smart Band Pro has many of the same features as last year’s Mi Band 6. If you can get the Smart Band Pro for just Rs 3,999. It has an AMOLED screen, 14 days of battery life, 100+ sports modes that can be used for, and more. Everyone is asking whether the Redmi Smart Band Pro is just like the Mi Band 6 but with a bigger screen or whether it is more. We tried out Redmi’s new fitness band, and here’s what we thought about it.

Design and Building Grade

The Redmi Smart Band Pro looks like any other fitness band, except its screen. It has a plastic module that is attached to two silicone straps. The straps can be taken away so that you can change them for something else. The band is well made. At the moment, the Redmi Smart Band Pro comes in only one color: black.

Xiaomi could add a few more color options in the future, though. About 25 grams, it’s on your wrist. This phone has a Redmi logo on the back. It also has magnetic pins for charging, PPG heart rate, and oxygen level sensors. It takes up 65.5 percent of the screen on the front, and the bezels aren’t thin or thick.

A thicker bezel on the bottom isn’t very noticeable because the dark UI blends in well with the screen edges. People say that the edges are flat and the corners are round. The screen of the Smart Band Pro is very easy to get fingerprints on. Touch is the only way to control it. The Redmi Smart Band Pro is waterproof up to 5 ATM, which means you can take it swimming to the pool.

Faces of the Display and Watch

The main thing that makes the Redmi Smart Band Pro different from other fitness bands is its bigger and wider screen. There isn’t enough room for fitness bands with 1-inch screens because there isn’t enough space for everything. The Redmi Smart Band Pro fixes this problem because the 1.47-inch screen has enough space to fit the text and icons. There’s enough space for all of your information on the home screen, and the app drawer has more room.

Smart Band Pro has a big screen that makes everything better. Xiaomi has more than 50 watch faces for the Redmi Smart Band Pro. The fitness band comes with four pre-loaded faces that you can set right away. To get more watch faces, people will have to use the app. I think the Redmi Smart Band Pro will use third-party watch faces, just like the Mi Bands.

One of the best things about its screen is that it has AoD (Always-On Display) support. Here, Xiaomi gets an extra point. This isn’t on the Honor Band 6. A setting in the band’s display settings lets you turn on the Always-on Display. You can also set it to happen at a certain time. White text on a black screen reads “Date,” “Time,” and “Day.” But the display on the Redmi Smart Band Pro is one of the best you can find on a fitness band of any kind.

Chargers and Batteries

When it comes to having a long battery life, the Redmi Smart Band Pro is a real slug. It has a 200mAh battery that lasts for 14 days with normal use. It’s been five days since the physical fitness band came, and it still has 75% of its charge. Every day, I use it to keep an eye on my heart rate, always-on SpO2 monitoring, stress monitoring, sleep tracking, and notification alerts.

Charge time is a little better than an hour, and the charger must be magnetically linked to the band. The Redmi Smart Band Pro doesn’t have fast charging like the Honor Band 6, which can last for three days with a 10-minute charge. There is still a lot to like about the Redmi Smart Band Pro. It has a lot of battery life and should last for a month with two full charges.

Health-Conscious Features and Exercise Modes

The Redmi Smart Band Pro has a lot to offer in terms of features. Heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring, stress monitoring, sleep tracking, steps, calories burned, Menstrual Cycles, Breathing Exercises, and more are some of the things it can do for you. Xiaomi declares that the Redmi Smart Band Pro utilizes the LifeQ health algorithm, making the measurement more accurate. This is what Xiaomi says. I can inform you that all of the data measurement is pretty close to how I use it.

UI and App Assist

The Redmi Smart Band Pro interface is the same as the Mi Band 6 interface. Check notifications by swiping down. You can’t do much else with your phone if you swipe down, though Xiaomi says that the Band Pro can use emoji, but when I used it, even the most common emojis, like laughing, heart, and so on, were shown as stars instead. It was great that the icons for each app notification had a different color.

You can’t accept the calls or send them message templates from the band. You can only silence them or hang up. Swiping up will accept you to the main app drawer, where you can choose from options like workout and activity, stats, heart rate, SpO2, sleep, and stress. You can also choose from options like weather and music.

There isn’t a better app for the Redmi Smart Band Pro than Xiaomi’s, but it’s not the best. It shows you a lot of different things you can do. Previous workout history, sleep data, heart rate monitoring, and blood oxygen level are just some of the things you can see in more detail in the app.

You can change the look of your fitness band from the app in the “Profile” area. You can start a workout mode right from the app with the GPS on if you want to. But, I had problems with the app. The Xiaomi Wear Lite app takes a long time to sync the data even though it’s connected all day. But, an upgrade should be able to fix this.

Is the Redmi Smart Band Pro the finest fitness band for less than 4,000 rupees?

I would keep it simple. The Redmi Smart Band Pro is a good value for money, and I’d rather buy it than the Mi Band 6. People who want to buy the Redmi Smart Band Pro can use the Always-On Display characteristic to provide it an edge over the Honor Band 6. This makes it better than the Honor Band 6.

You can get a fitness band that doesn’t have GPS built-in, but you can’t get one that does. This is not going to stop us. A simple update can fix some problems with the app syncing, but some problems can still be fixed. In India, some smartwatches cost less than Rs 5,000. The Redmi Smart Band Pro is better than some of them.

With most smartwatches, this one’s battery life and screen are about the same as most of them. The big screen gives the fitness band market a new look and name. Xiaomi says that the Redmi Smart Band Pro is the link between smartwatches and fitness bands, and it’s called the “Pro.”
